In my other career as a singer I've been lucky enough to perform all over the world at some pretty fancy places, but I only ever won one competition - The Grimsby and Cleethorpes Pub Club Entertainer of the Year. The prize... 4 cans of Stones Bitter. So, you can imagine my delight when I received a proper award, this time for my photography work.
The London Photography Awards were kind enough to recognise a photo a took of opera singer Susan Daniel at her London home. This image especially important to me as it actually inspired a whole project, photographing interesting people in their homes and Susan has since become a great pal.
